Board

The Teso Safe Motherhood Project (TSMP) has four board members.
Below is more information about our board.

	TSMP board members at the March 2008 meeting. Oteger Martin is attending the meeting to represent TSMP staff.
	Board Chair Dr. Okwana is the retired District Director of Health Services of Soroti District.
	Vice Chair Rev. Pastor Eletu Joseph I am Rev. Pastor Eletu Joseph a native of Soroti, Uganda. I currently serve as a pastor of the Soroti Baptist Church. I have 15 years of ministry experience in Africa and internationally. I maintain a holistic approach to ministry and believe that every event I have encountered has prepared me for my life in service to God. I also hold a key positon to help lead our organisation to effectivly address issues related to rural development, capacity bulding and the most pressing issue of prevalent poverty. I am fathifully married and have five children. I have immeasureble passion for the word of God and God's people. I preach and teach with the intent of inspiring God's people to find personal satisfaction in life and true meaning in the person of Jesus Christ.
	Board Treasurer Akello Frances is a former member of Parliament. She serves on a number of boards and supports many community organisations. She now serves as a member on TSMP's board.
	Member Tino Rose was born of Teso and Soroti District. She worked for Teso Widows' Development Initiative at the Hospice Hospital as a nurse. She says, "I very much appreciate the work and the services TSMP is giving to the very needy population in Teso region. My prayers to all well wishers and those already supporting. Continue giving so many lives are saved. May God Bless you as you give."
	IMA Representative Jennifer Braun is the program director for TSMP's primary funding organisation, International Midwife Assistance. She has been a practicing midwife in the United States for more than 27 years. She attends TSMP board meetings when possible to represent IMA.

In July 2009, two TSMP board members, Akello Frances and Tino Rose, visited the clinic to meet our staff and see our work first hand. TSMP staff was greatly honored to have them visit. Below are photos from their visit.
